This course has been designed to appeal to anyone who is interested in
crime, its causes and long term social effects. Drawing on a wealth of
knowledge from the police, crime
enforcement agencies and leading authors in this field, the course will be
particularly relevant to students looking to either enter or progress
within a career in criminology.
Designed
to equip students to work as part of a therapeutic team in a wide range
environments, from youth and community work to the police and the criminal
justice system, SC02 allows students a comprehensive insight into the role
psychology and criminology can play in society today.
The
course is divided into a number of easy to study modules, with supporting
text and assignments to be returned for marking. You work through the
material at your own pace, and have access to tutorial support by
telephone or internet. Successful students receive a level 3 diploma in
Psychology and Criminology, and may take advantage of our free careers and
