Designed as an advanced level course for those interested in  studying towards a career at a more senior level within counselling and psychology, or perhaps work as a consultant for the private and local authority sector. Drawing on a wide range of resources and contributors, the course is intended to suit students whom already have some background knowledge in this field, either from self interest, employment in a related area, or previous study. Students on the course also receive one years' free practitioner's membership of the International Association of Independent Therapists and Practitioners (www.iaitp.co.uk).

HDPP1 is a fascinating course, giving students the opportunity to gain a comprehensive and professional insight into the development of behaviour, behavioural disorders, different models of psychology and their therapeutic response. The course examines the psychology of the human mind in great depth, using various theories to explain our behaviour, and how events and experiences can shape the type of adults we later become.
